I believe wholeheartedly that John McCain and Sarah Palin should be the next President and Vice President of The United States. The duo are a strong team, with values that are unbeatable. Barack Obama is a waffler, and he can't be trusted in any respect.

I believe that John McCain and Sarah Palin will be able to run this country better then Barack Obama. For one, John McCain has the experience to get us successfully out of this war and keep this country energized with new sources of energy. I also believe that Sarah Palin will be able to connect well with the women of America and she is determined to get her ideas through and fulfilled.

I politely disagree. I believe Barack has a better idea of what the people need, rather than McCain's schmoozing attempt at calling Palin his VP. Barack has a more reasonable energy plan. But, whoever wins, I am estatic that America has come far enough that they would elect a black president or a woman vice president. It shows we're ready for change and REALLY ready to be done with Bush.

I think Obama should win. He sounds like he's looking out for the middle class people more than Clinton or McCain. Plus he represents a huge change in the history of America.

I disagree with John McCain's view on abortion. Personally, I think if a women gets raped they should not have to have the child. I also don't agree with either canadates' opinion on the death penalty. It is not that I condone murder but it dosen't make any sense for the gov. to kill someone because they killed someone and a lifetime in jail sounds more miserable to me anyway. I do agree that Obama has a better energy plan.

I believe that John McCain should be the winner of the Presidential Election. He should win because, in his own words, "I have the courage, the wisdom, experience, and, most importantly, the oldness necessary to be President" -John McCain, SNL

But in seriousness, I believe his experience in the military gives him a unique insight that he can, and will, use to help this country in a time of war.

I personally believe that McCain should be the next president of the United States. One reason is that he has actually had experience in the government. He was a senator so he knows how the government works. He was also in the military so he can relate to what the soldiers are going through. He has a plan for us to win the war in Iraq while Ohbama just has a plan to get us out. By just getting us out Ohbama is letting all the people who died die for nothing. McCain has more then one way to get us out of this energy crisis, wind power, nuclear power, solar power, among others.

Senor Cool said...

To weasel:
I totally agree with the energy stance. I appreciate McCain's choice of VP, a person who has experience governing a state with a major untapped oil reserve...

I also like McCain because he doesn't come from the legal system. Both Barack Obama and Joe Baiden are lawyers. I would rather terrorists be dealt with cleanly, rather than hauled into US courts and given rights under our constitution, that they so wholeheartedly hate.

I pesonally support Barak Obama because I believe that Obama will probably be following an economic plan similar to that of Bill Clinton that left us with the national debt at its lowest in years. In addition, Obama is relatively new in Washington and could provide the change that we desperately need.

dear senor cool:
I believe that unfortunately for McCain, His choice of running mate totally undermines his experience arguement in that Sara Palin has less government experience than obama

Anonymous said...

I believe that McCain is the better canidate for our country. He has a lot more experience then Obama does. Our country is considered to be in a recession at this point and it will probably take a lot to get us out. We need a person who has experience to know what they are doing and Obama probably won't always know the right thing to do. Also, with Sarah Palin as the vice president, there will be views from both a female's and a male's point of veiw.

Anonymous said...

To krushmore:
Despite the fact that i am pro-mccain, i do agree with you about the whole abortion issue. i think if you are raped you shouldn't have to deal with a pregnancy. its not right.

Anonymous said...

To mattheas:
The only reason Clinton left us with the lowest national debt is because he raised taxes. Also Palin has had more experience in government then Ohbama. Palin has spent two years governing alaska while Ohbama has only spent two years in the senate. Palin has the experience of running things, while Ohbama doesn't.

I think Obama should win. Although I am not fond of his "energy plan" (oil/gas $1,000 stimulus), I feel like McCain does not know the American people too well. It seems like Obama would be more connected, or understand the people more.

But..
Palin is definitely a good addition for McCain.

i think that barak obama should be the next president of the united states. He has so much knowledge of the united states in my opinion. He also is very willing to connect with the younger generation which is very good in my mine.

Anonymous said...

I totally agree all the way with newamsterdam21 because this country has progressed soo much lately in good and bad ways.

Anonymous said...

i agree with regina.george. the most appealing thing about obama is that he is young enough to understand every generation.
mcCain is old.

i also agree with hannah montana. this country has progressed much to far for mccain.!

Anonymous said...

i meant much 'too' far.
sorry.

Personally, i believe that Barack Obama should become the next president. He is relatively young and new to Washington, with some very fresh ideas that could help our country. While McCain focuses more on lowering taxes on big oil companies, Obama has middle class citizens in mind when organizing tax levies. Obama's fresh ideas could be what the American economy needs.

Anonymous said...

I completely believe that John McCain and Sarah Palin should win this election. Both have the experience needed to run this country, along with courage. I agree with John McCain with his views of abortion, death penalty, and same sex marriages. I believe Barack Obama needs more experience and better ideas to be the President.

Anonymous said...

In response to angelstarers comment: I disagree that McCain has the ability to get us out of the war. Obama truly has the needs of the people at heart, and knows what people need, unlike McCain, who can't seem to understand the people of the country he's trying to rule.

Anonymous said...

I believe John McCain and Sarah Palin should win this election. I agree with McCain on his views of abortion, death penatly, and same sex marriages. John McCain and Sarah Palin have both the experience and the knowledge to run this country right. Barack Obama needs more experience and better ideas to be President.

Anonymous said...

in response to senor cool, i completely agree. John McCain does have all the tools he needs to be the next President.

regina.george said...

about the abortion issue krushmore and candycane brought up, i agree. In my mind, a president has no say in what a women does if she becomes pregnant. Especially because a man is saying that abortion is wrong and should be illegal is very discerning to me. If a women were to be raped, how fair would it be to force her to carry around a child, the memory of a horrible episode in her life?

Anonymous said...

Dear weasel:
However George Bush managed to bring the national debt to its largest in history without drastically lowering taxes. McCain voted with Bush 90% of the time. In addition, Sarah Palin is a hypocrite, She specifically stated that her family (especially her 17 yr old pregnant daughter) should not be talked about politically and that it was a personal matter. However, she then references her family and her ability as a hockey mom in her speeches. Also, McCain is accusing Obama of using the metaphor of a pig wearing lipstick in reference to Palin. This is, however, a very common metaphor that McCain himself used in reference to one of Hillary Clinton's policies during this campaign.

I believe that Barack Obama is fit to be the president. He shows that he is able to connect with every generation especially the young generation. Though besides our age group he seems to be caring greatly about the seniors. He wants to protect seniors and have affordable health care. One other is that I agree with the others about the abortion issue. If a woman is raped it should be her choice.

Anonymous said...

i agree with regina.george again! McCain is obviously very close-minded about something so huge.
a man has no right to decide anything about another person's body, even if he is the president.

Anonymous said...

I think that John McCain should win the 2008 presidential election because I believe that he has the experience necessary to being in that office, he has a wonderful plan for rebuilding our energy supply by loosening the governmental restrictions on drilling in America, also, he's finding new ways of creating energy. Another thing I like about McCain is that he believes that we need to stay in Iraq to finish what we started. I really like his running mate, too. John McCain is definately my choice.

Anonymous said...

Responding to what newamsterdam21 said, I agree with you completely. We've come a long way in the past 200-odd years, I'm really glad that our country finally has the courage to nominate someone different than the plain old regular white guy.

Anonymous said...

my own personal opinion on the matter is that Obama is a much better match for the economic situation in this country. If you are one of those people who don't believe he would be fitting because he would tax heavy, then you are missing the point. During the course of his 8 years as president, Bush took the national pocket book (which Clinton had finally brought back to zero), and put us into several trillion dollars worth of debt.

Both democrats and republicans require each other. The republican party have a fantastic ability of boosting the economy and making money for people. However, they also spend more than they have sometimes and put us in the whole, or they cause the economy to plummit, which ours is only just showing signs of.

The democrats on the other had, tax. it may be displeasing to others, but they can bring the budget back up, and slowly take us out of debt. Also, the democrats are a whirl at running a prosperous and peaceful country. By seeing it this way you find that we need both democrats and republicans. They both need each other to run a country.
Its not that I'm a democrat (which I coincidentally am), but that it is time that we had a democrat in office to bring forth a new change.

BY THE WAY, THE ONE ABOVE THIS POST WAS MINE AS WELL, BUT I FORGOT TO NAME IT

In addition, I would like to add that McCain's choice VP is personally appalling to me, since the only plausible reason I can find that he would have her is because he wants to appeal to those who were for Hillary. If you thought that Obama was inexperienced, then open your eyes.

I agree with krushmore on the abortion issue and the death penalty. It seems cruel to make a woman keep a child she got in such a way. As for the death penalty, I personally think that living in jail for the rest of your life is a bigger punishment than death.

i dont really feel that either candidate is a very good choice as the leader of America. i belive that John McCain is too like our current president. As for Barack Obama, i dont think that he has the experiecne in the government or in a leading position of that calibur to be just right.

Although McCain has good intensions and more experience, Barack Obama has shown that he is dedicated to the well being of the middle class of our country. Barack Obama will save our country billions of dollars while also finally putting stop to a war that otherwise had no end in sight. Not only that, but his strong support of the use of hydroelectric power will keep of out of the "dark".

I completly agree with every single word that newamsterdam21 said. i agree that America really is ready for a change from a president like bush and for that matter i think that Barack Obama will win. Also i belive that Barack Obama has the peope in mind but i dont know about his effectiveness as a president. I think that at some points he will not be very effective but at other points i fear he may go too far and do a little more than is necessary to solve the problem at hand.

Agreeing with both Bobby the Buff and anonymous, I think that Obamah would make the better president. His whole background just seems better suited to be a president. And as anonymous said, McCain is very similar to our current president. This country couldnt live through another 4 years of Bush, and they wouldnt be able to live through 4 years of McCain.

Anonymous said...

responding to Mr.Pibb, I think it is great that there is an African American man in the running for president, though I do believe that the color of your skin should not push you to vote for that person. I believe in what Obama has planned for the future.
As for Bobby Buff...
I agree with you that Obama is the better candidate. Even though he is going to tax more, he is going to help the country over all to get out of debt.

To soul4life:

I highly agree with you on the abortion issue because there are many instances where a woman might not be physically or emotionally ready to bear a child. Also, his support for the use and elderly in America says a lot about his character.

Renesemee said...

I believe that Barack Obama is the best choice for president. Although he doesn't have as much experiance as McCain does I strongly believe he will do better. Barack obama is for helping the middle class. We have been pushed asside for long enough and I think we need someone to stick up for us once. The middle class is what needs to be focused on. Although this shouldn't sway your decision at all, I think it will be very interesting to have a black individual be president. I believe it will help our country become stronger and be able to accept different races. If elected history will be made.
Another thing that I like about Obama is that he is for the environment.

Renesemee said...

Krushmore:
I truly agree with your statement on abbortion. I do not think that women should have to have a child if they are not ready. No one should be forced into that, expecially under some situations.
I don't dissagree or agree with ur statement about government. Yes it is truly a worse punishment to sit in jail for x amount of years, but who has to pay for them to do that. That comes out of our pockets and is that really fair?
Just something to think about. I personally am split on the idea of the death penalty.

Anonymous said...

I don't think that Barack Obama would be a bad choice, I just believe that McCain would be a better leader of the country. And to all who talked about the abortion issue, I agree with McCain's stance but I wouldn't judge anyone if they did have and abortion especially in the case of rape. I believe it is a personal choice but i personally wouldn't have an abortion done.

Anonymous said...

Since reform is the big subject of both parties, I would have to go with Obama. McCain has voted alongside George W. Bush this entire time he's been a president, so why should I think McCain will do any different as a president? Besides that, Sarah Palin has very little experience (governor of Alaska...FOR 2 YEARS), and McCain just chose her to get the vote of women. As for issues like abortion, many things should be taken into consideration...if a women just doesn't want her child, that is no reason to kill it. If the child is going to be born with an extra arm and half a brain, then abortion might be an option (a vegtable is not a good life to live).

Anonymous said...

I consider Barack Obama a better candidate for being president. I support his ideas to help conserve energy. I do not agree with John McCain's few on abortion because I think it is any woman's right to. I also agree with the death penalty because truthfully if someone is so crazed that they killed a man they should not sit in jail for 30 years and be released back into society on parole.

Anonymous said...

To krushmore and candycane:

I agree with both of your point of view on abortion that it having a baby with someone because you were raped is unjust because most likely that women would have to raise the baby by herself with no child support from the father.

I agree with jonny cash that neither of the canidates are what we need to fix all of Bush's mistakes. If I had to chose, I would probably pick Obama just because I have more faith in the democratic party.
